Gwen began taking orders as guests. Her long black hair was noticed by all the teen boys.
She grumbled, and went to her father who was doing the food and drinks.
"One beer and one slap-me-across-head meal." Her father smiled as he began his job, his green eyes danced as he did it.
"You know what kiddo? You're going to be an expert in this you know that?" Gwen's mother came in and began putting various food and drinks on her tray.
Her black hair was a sight for all, her dark brown eyes gently smiled at her husband and she kissed her daughter on the forehead.
"My, my! My darlings! You've grown-up Gwenny!" Gwen looked at her mother, blushing.
"M-Mom! Stop! There are people here!" Gwen was a replicate of her mother.
Then a little boy named Danny came bouncing in the group, hugging his mother by the knees.
"M-Mom! I'm hungry!" The mother looked at her husband who laughed and gave Danny a piece of soft meat, they called," Bird of the mountains".
Danny grabbed it from him and ate it in one bite,"Thanks Dad!" Then the 9 year old bounced off to his friends, brown hair and green eyes.
"Ah, just like his father." Samuel looked at his wife, then stared at her for a moment, then kissed her.
"Ergg. I'm going to take more orders now. Get a room!" Her mother blushed and her father laughed.
Gwen wore a plain, white work shirt and a black skirt to match. Her long hair touched her bottom, it was tied back into a pony-tail.
"It's so boring here. Where's the fun and excitement?" Gwen sighed and began working.

Samuel's eyes turned troubled,"I'll have to ask my wife about this." He turned at walked to a woman with long black hair, when he whispered the info, she gasped.
Then the couple talked for a few moments and his wife looked at him with great worry, she shook her head, but her husband kissed her on the forehead.
He smiled sadly at her and walked to the girl.
"I propose that we should stop the fire at all costs." His green eyes showed sadness and determination.

Gwen ignored the followers of boys and noticed a beautiful girl talking to her father.
They were both worried, Gwen couldn't help but glare at the girl,"What the hell is that girl doing with my dad?!"
She walked up to them, and her father turned around and smiled. She noticed immediately, her dad wasn't smiling normally.
"D-Dad, what's going on?" She looked around the tavern and saw her mother hug her little brother tightly. Gwen saw tears stream down her face.
"You! Girl! What in the hell is going on?!" Her brown eyes glared at the pretty girl. Something wasn't right. Something.......

Samuel took his daughter in his arms,"Heh...D-Don't worry about my daughter. She's like this. Our tough cookie.."
Her father smiled sheepishly as the black haired girl glared at the girl. She pulled out of her father's grasp,"F-Father! Stop! What's going on?! Something happened right?! And your going to stop it?!"
Her eyes blazed,"YOUR GOING TO LEAVE US LIKE LAST TIME! I-I HATE YOU!"
Gwen stormed out of the tavern, pushing the girl aside. Samuel began going towards her,"G-Gwen! Stop!"
SLAM! Everyone took notice of the beautiful girl and the slam of the door.

Shortly after this occurance, a Centaur came into the tavern.
Excuse me good humans of Brettan...I am Temerel, vanguard of the Centaur of Terror Dawn, and i bring word from teh border. The Trolls have set fire to your land. Much of Ragnar Forest is ablaze. The tower at the bottom of the Northwind River has already burned to rubble, and a few small homes have followed suit....The Centaur are already busy setting a plan for swift retribution to the Trolls for their actions...I would suggest, by word of King Steelhoof of the Centaur, that you not get alarmed and make a decision quickly. If the appropriate actions have not been taken....then by tomorrow around 5 o' clock....The fires will be but a mere 5 miles away from Brettsport. That is all...
With that the centaur stood and waited for the reaction of the people within the walls of the inn.

Samuel smiled at the beautiful girl, "I'm so sorry. Miss. Gwen is like that. Honest. She's, she's just bored. I'm so sorry. I believe I never caught your name. What is it?"
Behind the man was his wife and his son, who were sad and scared. Then the boy ran to the girl,"P-Please! Help Gwen! She's always angry. S-She's a good sister. I know! You can go fetch her for us!"
Samuel looked at the boy,"D-Danny! We don't do that to our customers!" He smiled at the girl. "I'm so sorry, but do you mind fetching her for us? I'm so sorry. She isn't going to talk to me if she's mad at me. It's not you honest. She's mad at me."
Samuel laughed nervously,"F-for the task I can make you anything. It's on the house."

Dawn was shocked. This is much worse then she had thought. She thought of what she could do to prevent the fire.
But what could she do? The only water spells she could cast where weak and unless. They would not be able to put out a large fire. She looked at the Gwen's father. She knew what he was capable of. If only he knew how to use it!
Dawn then walked up to the centaur and asked, "How big is the fire exactly?"

Judging by what it looked like when i ran by.....let's see...it took me about 5 minutes to run by....so i would say that it is around 3 miles long....and approximatly 7 miles wide...not to mention the fire on the other side of the river....it is about two miles long and half a mile wide. It too threatens cities, but they have already been warned and have evacuated and fled to the fortress of Daggerhelm to be safe....but if not tended to....Daggerhelm too will succumb to the flames.
He stood looking down into the girls eyes, able to see the fear and concern in her eyes. He put his hands on her shoulders.
Even if the flames consume your lands.....the trolls will pay....i give you my word on that!

Samuel looked at the centaur and then at the young girl. He then told everyone that the tavern was closed, many people grumbled, but they did what they were told.
