Hmm... I have a new idea of role-playing concept here, but I do not know if this idea was acceptable.
In this idea of mine in the new role-play, I must be the narrator/event arranger/ role-play for bad guys/situation provider. Just like a story teller, except that I can manipulate's the participants (heroes) journey by adding events.
I will explain my idea of role-play here, but it is VERY LONG creation. If this idea is not acceptable, I will understand.
Campaign For Romance of the Three Kingdom Role Play (Fantasy)
Title: Return of the Yellow Dread lords
Background:
Decades of years has passed by since the yellow turban rebellion. Many have thought that, Zhang Jiao, the founder and the unscrupulous sorcerer of the yellow sect, along with his evil brethren Zhang Liang has been put down to swords for justice. This was the tremendous effort of the warlord heroes who made it possible, after a series of bitter battle clashes with the overwhelming yellow turbans zealots. But little did they know, Zhang Bao, one of the Zhang Jiao’s brethren and an evil accomplice manages to escape from this horrendous defeat and hide himself among the feudal era, biding his moments with utter hatred towards the heroic warlords that extinguish the yellow sect.
Over the years, Zhang Bao hid himself well, he somehow manages to mastered the uncanny arts of supernatural from his evil brethren, thanks to the book of the “Heaven’s divine” (A.k.a “The essential art of great peace”). The book of heaven’s divine is a god like artifact; it was once a powerful possession from the Immortal Nan Hua. It was a clear mistake for Immortal Nan Hua to pass down this artifact to Zhang Jiao at first, whom Nan Hua ideally thought Jiao is the chosen one mortal to bring deliverance to the suffered people from the war torn kingdom.
Nonetheless, Zhang Jiao makes full use of this book, mastering the arcane magic arts from within and builds himself a fearsome fighting forces that is enough to shaken the authority and dignity of the Han’s Dynasty Kingdom. Now the time has come, when the three kingdoms are slowly taking in forms, Zhang Bao begins his act of revenge by resurrecting his fallen evil brethren Zhang Jiao and Zhang Liang from the depths of hell.
This time, the resurrected Zhang Jiao, with the help from Zhang Bao, Jiao and Liang has manages to evolved themselves from a spirited ghost, into a fearsome, fiendish inhuman form of themselves. Fully aware that the current feudal era has turn to three kingdoms after the great battles of red wall, Jiao is staging an evil plan to mass resurrects the unfortunate’s souls of the fallen from the battle of red wall into a legion of zombie armies, while he slowly accumulates evil sources of power to rebuild himself!
Should Zhang Jiao succeed in his evil plan without challenges; he would crushed the heroic warlords’ forces and continuing the terrible legacy of his nightmarish reign once again! Not before you and your friends can react and put a stop on this!!!
*The above is the story prologue of this role-play background, as Zhang Jiao, Zhang Liang, Zhang Bao and other bad characters will be role-play by me to stop the heroes. (participants) Now comes to the part of role-play character selection;*
Profession Characters:
Adventurers are required to choose the characters profession from the below descriptions list in order to journey the quest. Each profession can be only taken as one individual. Example: There are no two scouts; three strider at the same time. Also, participants cannot undertake two or three roles at the same time. So choose your profession wisely. Skills descriptions of the profession can be found to decide your choice of characters:
1.) Scholar
2.) Taoism Priest
3.) Rogue
4.) Scout
5.) Strider
6.) Cavalier
*Each character possess individual unique skills, I will go through the explainations of skills here, as it is too long descriptions, *
Now comes to the part of requirements of my role-play idea:
Requirements for Role Playing:
1 Narrator/event arranger/ role play for baddies/referee of battles
1~6 Adventurer to form a fellowship, with role play enthusiasm.
2 dice, paper, pencil and eraser.
Now comes to the part of the role-play rules of mine;
Rules of Role Playing:
1.) The narrator preserves the ultimate right to determine the out comings of events, and implementing the events as he sees fit to oppose and challenge the heroes, which means the narrator is the GOD. (yeah baby! YEAH!!!!!)
2.) The team of adventurers must be able to stay in connected in line for at least 1~2 hours in order to adventuring the quest of journey together. Certain unexpected events, may require adventurer to discuss together to deal with the situation. Examples: engaging battles, falling into a trap, divided parties by evil sorcery etc.
3.) The team of adventurers can discuss themselves, resting, questioning the narrator for any time in order to keep the game going. However, the parties are to be sure and agreed on terms for actions agreeable by the members of the party. Example: You and your friends are tired or have some other sudden urgency matter to attend. You may request the narrator to “pause” the game, and the journey can be continued (“upload”) in another day.
4.) There are restrictions for this campaign, and there could be no more than 6 peoples to play this role playing campaign, and there is no sudden character join in for the middle of the campaigns, however guest or viewers are freely to express their own ideas, suggestions to the game’s concept by not interferes the game progression.
5.) This is a fantasy role –playing campaign, at anytime the adventurer can questioning the narrator at anytime to fully understand the situation before they take the next step. The stages will be based on near logically concept, examples: you and your friends are travelling when your friend foreseen a thin smoke coming out from the heavy dense forest in front; The narrator will ask the captain of the adventurers band to either continue along the forest path, or investigate. The party members can ask the narrator whether there are any strange footprints or strange signs nearby in the path. The narrator can choose to response or not to response to the adventurers summons. However, if there is a scout character in the party, the narrator MUST answer the adventurers summons. (The scout character has a skill feat call “pathmanship”, the narrator cannot stay idle for this)
6.) Battles will be conducted as the narrator is the role play of bad guys, monsters, baddies etc. Narrator and adventurers are required to uphold the fairness of battle and NO CHEATING if your characters are wounded or dead. If you are dead or wounded, you must announce the status of your characters after the battle. Example: lost endurance, poisoned resulting status penalty, diseased resulting status penalty, petrified into stone statue etc.
7.) Battles are not the key factor to ensure the victory of the adventurer campaigns. In certain stages, adventurer can discuss themselves when dealing the delicate situation and often ask the narrator “Is there any possibility? Etc” before they concluded the decision. Once the decision is made, and actions are taken, THERE IS NO TURNING BACK.
